Chad will be speaking about his groundbreaking audio comic UNSEEN on the panel Comics and Other Geek Items for the Vision Impaired on Saturday, July 27th at 12:30pm in the San Diego Convention Center Room 3. Join us for a mind expanding discussion on entertainment and the industry from the perspective of blind and visually impaired fans.

Blind and vision-impaired people love comics, gaming, TV, and movies, as well as all sorts of science fiction/fantasy/horror artforms just as much as their sighted counterparts. How do they enjoy such things with little or no eyesight? Blind adventurer, stand-up comedian, and unashamed geek Joshua Loy (52 Masters, 2 Lives Podcast: April 23, 2024) and world-famous actor, audiobook narrator, and writer Scott Brick (Audiobook narration: Dune & the Shannara series) are joined by actor and audio description advocate Roy Samuelson (House of Dragons, Marvel’s Hit-Monkey) along with magician and writer, Chad Allen (the groundbreaking audio comic Unseen, Penn & Teller: Fool Us) to share what options exist for nonvisual entertainment.
